Creating some space every day to be still with yourself can be often confronting but ultimately it is worthwhile and gratifying. There would not be many people living in our modern world who would not benefit from some stillness and introspection.
The research is clear and supportive too, that a regular meditation practice can help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. It also can enhance focus, attention, and memory.
The biggest drawcard for me though was cultivating more self-awareness, emotional resilience, and compassion, fostering a greater sense of happiness.
