What should I eat? This is the most common question I get asked!
To be honest, the ideal diet can be slightly different for everyone however, the most studied diet and what I also truly believe to be the easiest, healthiest and tends to suit most people, is the Mediterranean diet.
It is associated with numerous health benefits, for example reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke, neurodegenerative diseases like alzheimer’s, and certain types of cancer, as well as improving brain health, weight management, and overall longevity.
It emphasizes real whole foods, such as vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, fish/seafood, nuts, and NZ only extra virgin olive oil, while limiting processed foods, red meat, and added sugars.
